UUCR's Annual Pledge Drive
The UUCR Pledge Drive is an annual event held in
the late winter and early spring to raise money for UUCR's operating
budget.
How
does the Pledge Drive work?
Everyone who attends UUCR is asked to make a financial pledge for the
coming fiscal year. Each pledger fills out a pledge card indicating the
amount of his or her pledge. Pledges can be paid all at once or over
time through the year.
This year, most pledges will be collected at services on Pledge Sunday, February 24th.
Why
should I pledge financial support to UUCR?
Because our wonderful church programs are important to you. It takes a
lot of money to keep the church programs running. Expenses for the next
fiscal year (July 2008 to June 2009) are expected to be about $676,000
- with more than 330 members, that's over $2,000 per member! In fact,
to make our budget, we
need an average pledge of about $2,450.
What
do I get for my financial support?
This coming church year, UUCR expects to spend approximately $2,027 per
member, in the following program

How
much
should I pledge?
Consider your values, your commitment, your
income, and your needs. Then give as generously as you
can! The “Fair Share Giving Guideline” below suggests three
levels of support. Where do you see yourself?
- Supporter:
- UUCR is a significant part of my life and
promotes my spiritual well being.
- Sustainer:
- UUCR is central to my identity and I’m
committed to sustaining our programs.
- Visionary:
- I am committed to both the present and future
vitality and growth of UUCR.
Some are able to give at the higher end of the
table while others are
able to give less. We only ask that you give as
generously as you can. Whatever the size or
your contribution, it will be greatly appreciated. Only
together can we make our church a vibrant community.
