Social Justice

Social Justice is a vital part of the mission of our congregation, leading, supporting, and engaging the congregation on social justice concerns, providing tangible ways to live our Unitarian Universalist principles in the community and the world.

Social Justice Groups at UUCR

Share the Plate

Objectives of UUCR's Share the Plate Ministry:

To connect UUCR's spiritual and social justice commitments through worship practice;

To stir collective awareness about mindful giving.

To act on our commitment to support our local community; and

To encourage the generous and visible support of our congregation for important

community causes.

Nominated organizations must have 501(c)(3) tax status or be a tax- exempt religious organization. Priority is given to organizations that serve Montgomery County residents, reflect UU principles, and address community service needs

Share the Plate nominations are reviewed and selected by UUCR's Social Justice Committee to be part of our Sunday worship service offertory.
