Request Volunteers

Use this form to call for individual volunteers (for example, a person to edit Quest) or to announce group projects (for example, building a house for Habitat for Humanity).

Requests will be posted on the UUCR Volunteer Web Site within 5 days.

• Write your volunteer description so it will stand out
• Target the skills and experiences of UUCR members
• Many families want to volunteer together; look for ways to involve adults, teens, and children.
• Consider the amount of time people may have to offer; consider breaking down a big job into parts for “hit and run” volunteers.
• A good volunteer description
  • defines what the committee or activity does
  • defines what the volunteer will gain
  • uses active verbs

Beacon House serves at-risk children by offering educational, recreational, and cultural programs. You can make a difference in these children’s lives by serving as a mentor or tutor one Saturday morning a month.
