UUCR Bazaar 2007 - What We Don't Take

Because the Bizarre Bazaar is only open for a limited time for sales and due to space constraints, we regret that we are unable to accept the items listed below.

• Lawnmowers
• Car seats, baby cribs, toys with magnets – safety concerns
• Women’s sportswear, blue jeans, undergarments, etc.
• Shoes, boots (men’s, women’s, children’s) (Children’s boots OK)
• Major appliances
• Furniture - it doesn’t sell
• Bedframes, curtain rods, blinds
• Computers more than 7 years old.
• Encyclopedias, magazines, or textbooks
• Large pieces of exercise equipment, e.g. exercise bikes, etc
• Live plants
• Building supplies, e.g. shutters, light fixtures

Recyling Options

Places to donate items we don't accept for the bazaar:

• Building materials, furniture and large appliances can be donated to the Montgomery County Habitat for Humanity Re-Store.
• Furniture can be donated to Community Ministry of Montgomery County Furniture Donation program, 301-468-4830 or St. Rose of Lima Furniture Ministry, 301-482-2947.
• Clothing of all types can be donated to Interfaith Clothing Centers (Rockville 301-424-3796 and Gaithersburg 301-977-1267) operated by Community Ministry of Montgomery County.
• Computers, etc. Capital PC Users Group - Project Reboot, Rockville
• Search the Montgomery County Department of Public Works and Transportation Solid Waste Services Use It Again guide or Freecycle Network at www.montgomerycountymd.gov/solidwaste. This is a great one-stop shop for finding an organization that may want your item.
