About 30 persons attended our meeting on March 25, 2006. We split into three discussion groups, with each group taking a different question. The questions discussed were:
1) Should the punishment equal the crime?
2) Why do we have wars?
3) What are the shortcomings of Liberalism?
Two questions that were proposed but not discussed will be carried forward to the next month's meeting to prime the list of questions. They were:
4) What is primary, intellect or emotion?
5) Can national security and civil liberties be balanced?
The remaining unselected questions proposed at the March meeting were:
6) When is it OK to lie?
7) When is it OK to kill?
8) What is Home?
9) How does conglomeration of business affect day-to-day living?
10) What is our responsibility with respect to global warming?
These last questions will not automatically be carried forward to the questions list of the next meeting, but participants are free to propose any of them again if they wish.
