About 16 persons attended the meeting on July 22, 2006. We split into two discussion groups, with each group taking a different question. The questions discussed were:
1) Do we really own this planet?
2) When do professional obligations override personal convictions?
For the meeting in August we will prime the list of questions with one from the last meeting that was not discussed:
3) How do we decide when and when not to compromise?
The remaining unselected questions proposed at the July meeting were:
4) Is suffering necessary?
5) Does violence as entertainment lead to more violence?
These last questions will not automatically be carried forward to the questions list for the next meeting, but participants are free to propose them again if they wish.
