At our meeting on May 28 we split up into two discussion groups, with each group taking a different question. The questions discussed were:
1) What is friendship?
2) Is the US at the beginning of a new dawn, or a long twilight?
For the next meeting (Saturday, June 25) we will prime the list of questions with the two top vote getters from the last meeting that were not discussed. They are:
3) What did Socrates mean when he said "know thyself"?
4) Of all of your wants, what is it that you want most?
At our last meeting I was asked to include in my monthly meeting reminder the
complete list of questions that were proposed. So here are the other questions
that were proposed:
5) Is a politically neutral judiciary possible?
6) What is beauty?
7) What is wealth?
These questions will not automatically be carried forward to the questions list of this Saturday's meeting, but participants are free to propose any of them again if they wish.
