About 24 persons attended the meeting on August 27, 2005.
We split into three
discussion groups, with each group taking a different question. The questions
discussed were:
1) Is euthanasia OK? Is assisted suicide OK?
2) When do rights of the group supersede rights of the individual?
3) What are your beliefs about God?
For the meeting this Saturday, September 24, we will prime the list of questions with the two top vote getters from the last meeting that were not discussed. They are:
4) What should we live for?
5) What do you hope to gain from Socrates Café?
The remaining unselected questions proposed at the last meeting were:
6) How should one handle today's unpleasant realities?
7) What do you want? Why?
These last questions will not automatically be carried forward to the questions list of this Saturday's meeting, but participants are free to propose them again if they wish.
